Overview:

The General Manager of Product Development directs the development of product from initial design concept to bulk production order placement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the product development process to ensure teams KPI is met
• Conduct global market and business analysis on products, consumers, competitors and retail industry
• In charge of team and cross functional relationships to ensure new product meets aesthetic, quality, and functional requirements
• Partners cross-functionally with Design, Merchandising, Materials, collaborating to develop product that meets business needs for regional markets
• Ensure the prototyping, finalization and manufacturing production within projected timeline
• Proactively anticipates and identifies challenges in the development process and effectively resolves issues through appropriate actions and communication
• Participate in Sales & Marketing activities to build the brand and raise brand awareness

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in any related discipline
• At least 10 years in handbag product development, sourcing or production
• Strong international exposure and understanding on retail markets
• Must possess a strong fashion sense and have the ability to interpret trends
• Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills with energetic, passionate and innovative character
• Strong self-starter who excels in fast-paced, start-up type environments
• Able to start doing something over from the beginning
• Embraces change, able to adapt and excel in a rapidly evolving and growing environment
• Fluency in English & Chinese
